Are you interested in circularity concepts, waste management practices and recyclability approaches?
Join us on September 27th in Athens, Greece, in our workshop that AXIA Innovation is organizing in collaboration with Creative Nano, in the framework of the PureNano Project. The venue is at Creative Nano premises, 43 Tatoiou Str. Metamorfosi, Greece, Athens.
Relevant threads to be discussed:
• Circularity economy concept & recyclability;
• Application to plating industry & current waste management practices;
PureNano proposes an innovative, low-cost, sustainable solution, for in-situ purification of plating baths that will lead to a significant extension of their life. The method involves functionalized Magnetic Nanoparticles (MNPs) for the treatment of plating baths, that can absorb on their surface the contaminants and chemical species that are accumulated.
One of the biggest challenges the plating industry faces is that produces every day a huge amount of hazardous waste is transported to specific treatment plants, where mainly chemical or electrochemical processes are applied, producing a big amount of sludge.
PureNano concept offers a great contribution to supporting the transition toward the circular economy
This workshop is hosted by Creative Nano, one of PureNano’s partners, and owner of the Portable Purification of Electrodeposited baths Pilot Lines and it covers the circularity concept behind the PureNano project and a detailed analysis of recyclability. The first part provides an overview of the circular economy concept, its application to the plating industry, and a clear picture of the current waste management practices. The second part is related to the application of the best circular business model (CBM) to the two pilots developed during the project.
There is no registration fee for workshop participants and all necessary materials will be provided.
